Men's Singles was one of four events of the tennis program at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.

Miloslav Mečíř won the gold medal in 1988. He retired from that sport in 1990. Unseeded Marc Rosset of Switzerland (ranked #37) won the event; he defeated home player Jordi Arrese with a score of 7-6, 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 8-6 in the final.
