Telcobuy touts itself as a Minority-Owned Enterprise that is Privately Held. In 1999 World Wide Technology spun off its telecommunications division to form Telcobuy.com. Telcobuy sells gear from more than 1,000 makers. SBC Communications Inc., Bell Atlantic Corp. and GTE Corp. bought 94 percent of the equipment Telcobuy sold in its first full year, 1999.
