Tejomay Bharat is a compulsory reading book for students in the state of Gujarat, India. The author, Dinanath Batra, is known for his views of anti-western education in India and the book contains numerous claims relating to science, history and other topics that fly in the face of conventional wisdom, often asserting that western inventions, such as television, were predated by India and are recorded in ancient texts such as the Mahabharata.
