Tehran International Book Fair

Tehran International Book Fair (Persian: نمایشگاه بین‌المللی کتاب تهران‎‎) is an annual international book fair held in Tehran, Iran. Held in a 120,000 square meter venue at Tehran's Grand Prayer Grounds, the event also provides an opportunity for publishers to discuss future cooperation. The fair also features special sections, including the House of Literati that honors prominent Iranian cultural figures from a variety of disciplines. Censorship is a regular occurrence at the fair, with dozens of books confiscated and publishing houses banned from attending each year.
