Techtix is the annual techno-management fest of Kalyani Government Engineering College, started in the year 2009.The idea of the Techtix conceived to provide students an atmosphere to learn through an application oriented approach. From the day of starting Techtix have grown exponentially. It receives overwhelming participation from student community all over the country. Every year, collegiate students attend this technical extravaganza. It acts as a platform for them to showcase their technological and engineering knowledge. Robotix, programming events, designing, electronics, also many fun events are centre of attraction of this technical extravaganza. The coming season of Techtix will be held from 3rd to 5th March,2016.

Contents

Robotix

Robotix is the biggest event in this techno-management fest. There are various autonomous & manual events is associated with Techtix.

Turbulence

Participants will have to make a manually controlled wireless or wired robot which will have to be capable of various terrarins setups & will have to travel over the track loaded with mud, sand, gravels, blocks and obstacles.

Invaders

Build a manually controlled robot capable of traversing over irregular terrains with deep gaps (crevasses) in between, by bridging them and saving victims stranded at the accident site. The bridges will be provided and the bot has to just place it properly and the two ends of the bridge will be of same height from the ground. Otherwise the different platforms may be sloped or consisting different irregular terrains like pebbles, sand, rock, shallow water etc.

Wrestlemania

Design a manually controlled robot to battle with the opponent, to demobilise it, to push it out of the battle field & also to collect checkpoints placed at different positions of the battle arena with specified time.

Robo_T_racer

Make an Autonomous line following robot to trace black line of 4 cm width (background will be white). Robot should detect boom barrier of white colour and wait until boom barrier is not removed.

C-buzz

For C-buzz participants will have face small but interesting C codes for debugging.

Codeweaver

Codeweaver is an event based on problems in programming where any language can be used. Questions can come from C, C++, Java, Basic HTML, shell programming.

Hurt Locker

To save your life you have to defuse the bomb."A GAME OF DIGITAL CIRCUITS"..where a little mistake can blow you off.The participant will have to analyse the given circuit and defuse the bomb in time.

Math Mania

small but twisted problems will test your aptitude in math.

Sudoku

The name Sudoku is the Japanese abbreviation of a longer phrase meaning "the digits must remain single." The objective is to fill a 9×9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 sub-grids that compose the grid (also called "boxes", "blocks", "regions", or "sub-squares") contains all of the digits from 1 to 9.

Clue Inquisitor

A perfect brain to solve brain storming questions and puzzles to proceed through the case step by step.

Rubik's cube

Almost everyone has tried to solve a Rubik’s cube. The first attempt often ends in vain with only a jumbled mess of colored cubies (as I will call one small cube in the bigger Rubik’s cube) in no coherent order. Solving the cube becomes almost trivial once a certain core set of algorithms, called macros, are learned. Using basic group theory, the reason these solutions are not incredibly difficult to find will become clear.

Gaming

CS 1.6:As one of the most popular computer games it will be played by following WCG rules. Also these games will be played FIFA 10 NFS most wanted.

Workshops

Techtix organises workshops both during the festival and in the days prior to the festival. These workshops help the participants in keeping up with the recent developments in the technical world from the very experts in the field. Being highly informative and interesting the workshops are known to attract enthusiastic participation from students. The workshops are organised in association with reputed organisations and are conducted free of cost.
