Tarap is a 2006 Pakistani Urdu film directed by Sangeeta. The film was a flop in Lahore, but successful in Karachi. It was shot in Dubai and Lahore. It is known for its popular soundtrack.

The film was released on October 24, 2006 (Pakistan), Eid-ul-Fittar. This is a big-budget film (by local standards at least) shot in beautiful locations in both Dubai and Pakistan. It was a hit, but flopped in Lahore. The film was hyped enough by local media due to its budget. and co-producer was M.Asif from London.

Trivia

With Tarap, Sangeeta seems determined not to repeat past mistakes. “It is a family-oriented film with a strong social message. If it fails, I will be forced to reconsider making Punjabi action movies once again,” she said.
