Tara Newz (Bengali: তারা নিউজ) (also known as Tara News), was a 24-hour Bengali language news channel, covering local news of West Bengal and Bangladesh as well as national and international news, was operated by Broadcast Worldwide Limited, a Public Limited Company, with other channels under its umbrella, viz. TARA Muzik, and TV Southasia. Tara Newz was formally launched on 21 February 2005, the International Mother Language Day.
It was nationalized on 23 May 2013. The channel was shutdown on 15 April 2013.
