TCL Corporation has produced a 3-D television, which unlike others, does not require any glasses to see the 3-D effect.

It was revealed at CES in January 2010.

It works by adding a layer of ripped lenses to the front of a television screen, to produce a 3-D effect. There are eight lenses on the screen itself, you able to see a few of them at a time, depending on where you stand in relation to the television.

It can also be used on billboards.

It is already being sold in China, and sells for about $20,000.

It is the only 3-D television that does not require the use of glasses.

Reception

  • CNN listed it as one of its 10 cool new toys from CES
