The Symposium on Turtle Evolution is a meeting of turtle morphologists, evolutionary biologists, and paleontologists, which is organised by different institutions since 1983.

Besides these symposiums, there have been additional smaller meetings:

  • 1995: session during the 75th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists (Edmonton, Canada),
  • 1996: session during the 56th Annual Meeting of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (New York, USA)
  • 2003: one-day symposium during the 10th International Congress of Vertebrate Morphology organized by the International Society of Vertebrate Morphology (Barcelona, Spain)
  • 2014: Meeting of Central European Turtle Evolutionary Biologists, organized by Paläontologisches Institut und Museum der Universität Zürich (Zürich, Switzerland)
