Sylvain Houde was the singer and lyricist of the Canadian death metal band Kataklysm. Early in his career with Kataklysm, he went under the name Sylvain Aquarius Mars Venus. He served as the original vocalist for the band, contributing to three albums: "The Mystical Gate of Reincarnation," "Sorcery," and "Temple of Knowledge," before departing from the group." He is known for his very deep and fast death grunt which he combined with higher pitched, shrieking grunts.
