Sydney eScholarship

Sydney eScholarship is a set of services provided by the University of Sydney Library to the University of Sydney [1] that integrates the management and curation of digital content with new forms of access and scholarly publication.

Sydney eScholarship comprises the Sydney Digital Library and Sydney University Publishing, and includes

  • Sydney University Press, re-established as an innovative digital/print publisher.
  • SETIS, the Sydney Electronic Text and Image Service, a digital library platform which features a digital collection of Australian studies texts
  • Sydney eScholarship repository [2], a DSpace institutional repository service.
  • Digital project analyst [3] services to support the development of sustainable digital projects at the University of Sydney
  • SETIS

The Scholarly Electronic Text and Image Service (SETIS) is a digital library platform established by the University of Sydney Library in 1996. SETIS has since created the largest XML-based and TEI-encoded digital collection of Australian studies texts. SETIS provides and manages the full-text collections for AustLit: The Australian Literature Resource.

In 2006 SETIS was renamed the Sydney Electronic Text and Image Service to coincide with the founding of the University of Sydney Library's eScholarship initiative.
