  • 1998 to 2008 : the Prize was given in during the Solothurn Film Festival.
  • 2009 : the nomination night happened in Solothurn during January. Each film nominated received a cash-prize. During the beginning of March, a "glamour" ceremony, the first one of its kind, was organised in Lucerne. The prize awarded is a Cristal-like statue, called "The Quartz". 2009 was the last year where the Jury was composed of people from the Swiss state and the Federal Office of Culture.
  • 2010 : Nomination in Solothurn again, during the Solothurn Film Festival during January. Ceremony in Lucerne in March. The prizes have been awarded for the first time by the Swiss Film Academy, created in 2008. It was the first time that no state intervention occurred.
