Sven Kristian Barthel (Botkyrka, 8 September 1903 – Stockholm, 30 September 1991) was a Swedish writer, journalist, theatre critic and translator. He married author Viveka Starfeldt in 1936.
He was a good narrator of nature with special interest in Stockholm's archipelago.
As a translator he translated among other works Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.
