Sustainable Energy Act 2003

Long title
  
An Act to make provision about the development and promotion of a sustainable energy policy; to amend the Utilities Act 2000; and for connected purposes.

Territorial extent
  
England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, except that section 6 does not extend to Northern Ireland, and sections 2 to 5 and 7 do not extend to that country or to Scotland.

The Sustainable Energy Act 2003 (c 30) is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

The white paper "Our energy future – creating a low carbon economy" (Cm 5761), published in February 2003, is a precursor of this Act.
