Suspended congress (sex position)

The suspended congress is a sex position characterized by themes of support, trust, power, and possession. A refreshing challenge for the sexually experienced and athletically inclined, it is also stimulating to dream about for its bold imagery. (This lends to the position being commonly portrayed in pornography.) The position is performed when:

1. The male lifts his partner off their feet.
2. The partner faces the male and wraps their arms around his neck.
3. The male grabs his partner on their buttocks and penetrates them by their vagina (or anus). Usually a wall is used for support.

A reverse suspended congress is a similar position with the partner facing away, using the male for support.

The position is sometimes dangerous if the female is not supported correctly.
