In May 2013 elections were held for County Councils in England, including Surrey County Council. Shown below are the results for the Guildford electoral divisions of Surrey County Council.

The boundaries of the electoral divisions in Guildford were slightly altered in the run to the 2013 elections to Surrey County Council. The main boundary changes were: a) East Clandon parish was moved from Shere electoral division to the Horsleys electoral division; b) the boundary between Ash electoral division and Shalford electoral division was moved slightly south, so that it now aligned with the Aldershot Road; c) the boundary between the Guildford West and the Guildford North electoral divisions was adjusted slightly northwards such that Guildford West now included a small area to the south west of Stoughton, near Rydes Hill. (The vast majority of Stoughton remained in the Guildford North electoral division); and d) the boundary between Guildford West and Guildford South West was realigned such that it generally ran along the line of the A3 road. This meant that the Dennisville area was transferred to Guildford South West, it had previously been part of Guildford West.

In the 2013 election, the Conservatives did not contest the electoral division of Shalford as they, by mistake, failed to submit nomination papers by the deadline to contest that seat. The United Kingdom Independence Party candidate gained the Shalford electoral division. Shalford was the only electoral division, in the Guildford Borough Council area, to change hands in the 2013 Surrey County Council Elections.
