The Superior Senators were a Minor League Baseball team that played from 1956 through 1958 on the Nebraska State League. Their home field was Lincoln Memorial Park, then known as Brodstone Field, built in 1948, with a seating capacity of 1,500. The fledgling team sold over 500 season tickets in the first season, and the average attendance at each home game was over 700.

Superior, Nebraska, with a declining population of barely 3,000, was by far the smallest city in the league. The season ticket sales amounted to almost one for every household in Superior.

Affiliated with the Washington Senators of the American League, the Superior Senators were a charter team in the newly resurrected Nebraska State League, which had been dormant for 18 years. After the 1958 season, the league reduced its membership to only six teams, and the Senators were one of two unsuccessful franchises that did not remain.

Two players for the Senators went on to play in the Major Leagues:

  • Jim Kaat, who would win 283 games in a 24-year major league career
  • Jimmie Hall, who would play in the World Series for the Minnesota Twins
