Profiles

Mario Leon’trez Turman (born August 25, 1988), professionally known as SupaCrankIt, is an American hip-hop producer from Lithonia, Georgia mostly known for providing beats/instrumentals to the online independent music industry. He has produced for artists such as Plies, Soulja Boy, Waka Flocka, J Money, Shawty Lo, Yung LA, DJ Unk, Travis Porter and many others. He’s formally known as “Supa Mario” or “Supa Mario Productionz. He decided to change his production name in 2009 so his supporters wouldn’t confuse him with other producers who had similar names.

Music career

SupaCrankIt’s always loved music as a kid but was first introduced to making music when his mother bought him his first Casio keyboard. While attending Salem Middle School he had a music class which inspired him to really want to learn how to create professional sounding beats/instrumentals. By the 10thgrade he moved on to a program called: FL Studio in which he still uses today. Determined to gain major placements, within a few years of him graduating high school he landed his 1st major placement with rap artist Plies. The song was titled “Never Cross Them” which was featured on Plies’ mixtape “Aristotle” in 2011 released on LiveMixtapes.com & Datpiff.com.
