In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Summer Village of Sunset Beach recorded a population of 49 living in 25 of its 99 total private dwellings, a change of 11.4% from its 2011 population of 44. With a land area of 0.74 km2 (0.29 sq mi), it had a population density of 66.2/km2 (171.5/sq mi) in 2016.
In the 2011 Census, the Summer Village of Sunset Beach had a population of 44 living in 25 of its 108 total dwellings, a change of -50% from its 2006 population of 88. With a land area of 0.99 km2 (0.38 sq mi), it had a population density of 44.4/km2 (115.1/sq mi) in 2011.
