Sunny Taylor (née Adamson; also referred to as Sunny McClure Adamson) is a fictional character in the now cancelled American Soap Opera, Search for Tomorrow. She was played through the show's end in 1986, by actress Marcia McCabe.

Sunny was the daughter of corrupt builder Ted Adamson (Wayne Tippit). She had a sister, who was as corrupt as her father, Laine. Sunny was a reporter for the Henderson newspaper and did a great job. She first came to Henderson as she sided with Joanne Gardner against her father and Jo's arch-enemy, Stephanie Wilkins about her selling the Hartford House (an inn she owned with her best friend, Stu Bergman).

Meanwhile, after her father and sister left town, both having completely reformed, Sunny remained in Henderson, and made a living as a reporter. She has first met and fell in love with Lee Sentell (Doug Stevenson), the cousin of Travis Sentell. However, she had a rival in waitress Cissie Mitchell (Patsy Pease). Lee and Cissie married and then left Henderson with their son, Roger Lee. She fell in love with agent Dane Taylor (Marcus Smythe) and married him. After Dane had left Henderson, she threw herself into her work at the paper.

Later on, however, in one of Search's most powerful storylines, Sunny was raped by co-worker Jack Benton (Patrick James Clarke). She went through the stages of dealing with the rape. She eventually recovered from the rape, and understandably was reluctant to date once again.

Sunny stayed in Henderson, even through the flood of 1986 and remained until the show's end.
