Sunday Funday is the Sunday night block on the Fox network, featuring a mix of animated and live-action series. The block premiered on September 28, 2014.

History

Sunday Funday was created to replace the Animation Domination block, acknowledging that an hour of the Sunday night schedule has live-action sitcoms and is no longer fully made up of animated shows. Its final show was American Dad!, which also broadcast its final episode on Fox before moving to TBS on September 21, 2014. The initial lineup incorporated the remaining animated series from Animation Domination, including The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers, plus Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which previously aired on Tuesday nights, and the new sitcom, Mulaney This marks the first time that Fox has regularly aired first-run live-action comedies on Sundays since 2005. Mulaney was cancelled in February 2015 due to negative reviews and was replaced by mid-season replacement The Last Man on Earth On January 3, 2016, Brooklyn Nine-Nine was removed from the Sunday Funday block and moved back to its original Tuesday night slot. The Last Man on Earth was temporarily put on hiatus. In their place, the new animated series Bordertown and the live-action comedy Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life took their slots.

Starting of April 3, 2016, new series Bordertown and Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life were moved to 7pm and 7:30pm due to both shows gaining very low ratings. Bob's Burgers was then placed at the 8:30pm where it was from 2011 until 2014.

On September 25, 2016, the new live-action and animated hybrid comedy series Son of Zorn premiered at 8:30pm. In early winter, Making History will take over the timeslot for the remainder of the television season.
