Sumit Seth (Hindi: सुमित सेठ Punjabi: ਸੁਮਿਤ ਸੇਠ) (born 23 January 1977) is an Indian Foreign Service Officer. He is a physician specialising in forensics and author of Review of Forensic Medicine.

In 2003, he became the youngest postgraduate of Forensic Medicine in India at the age of 26 years. He was a member of the homicide investigation team which conducted the autopsy of Phoolan Devi. His current assignment is First Secretary (Economic Affairs) at the Permanent Mission of India to United Nations, Geneva.

He is the first Indian Foreign Service Officer to serve as Deputy Secretary, Digital Diplomacy. in the Ministry of External Affairs. He received the Web-Ratna Award for Outstanding Content Category on behalf of the Ministry of External Affairs in March 2015.
