Studies in Higher Education is a peer-reviewed academic journal in the field of higher education, published by Routledge on behalf of the Society for Research into Higher Education.
The editor is Malcolm Tight at the Department of Educational Research, Lancaster University.
The journal published two issues per year until 1986, three issues per year until 2001, four in 2002 and 2003 and six issues from 2004 until 2008. Since 2009 this journal publishes eight issues per year.
