General Studholme John Hodgson (1805 – 30 August 1890) was the General Officer Commanding, Ceylon.

Military career

Born the son of General John Hodgson, Hodson was commissioned as an ensign in the British Army on 30 December 1819.

He saw action in the First Anglo-Burmese War and went on to be General Officer Commanding, Ceylon in 1865. He then served as colonel of the 54th Regiment of Foot (1868–76) and the King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) (1876–90).
