Stonewall Jackson High School is a public secondary school in Bull Run, Prince William County, Virginia, near the city of Manassas. In May 2007, Newsweek magazine ranked Stonewall Jackson 530th in the nation on its annual list of "Best High Schools in America."     Stonewall Jackson hosts an International Baccalaureate program, which was instituted in 1993. According to the Prince William County Schools, it is ranked 18th in the nation and 33rd in performance in the world among IB schools. Maureen Ellis is the IB Coordinator and her success is seen in the growing number of students taking IB at Stonewall Jackson. In the 2010–2011 school year, roughly 41% of students were involved in some form of accelerated program and 470 IB Exams were administered to 200 students, often one student taking up to six exams.

    Stonewall Jackson also has the AFJROTC prorgram. It is lead by Lieutenant Colonel Darryl J. Robinson (Ret), USAF. This is what he says about the program: "Our unit strives for excellence based on U.S Air Force Core Values; "Integrity first, Service before Self, and Excellence in all we do." Cadets have NO obligation to the military after high school, nor is this program intended for recruiting purposes of any kind. Rather our main goal is to develop citizens of good character and integrity with a heart for service." The program has finished 2nd overall in the Air Force Association Virginia State Drill Meet; and both the Armed and Unarmed Exhibition teams have been State champions.

    Stonewall Jackson also hosts the Governor's School. "The mission of the Governor's School @ Innovation Park is to engage students in rigorous academic study, challenge them to acquire knowledge, develop understanding, think reflectively, and take intellectual and creative risks in problem solving. The purpose of our program is to educate students in the related fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in order to prepare them to contribute to the global community of the 21st century. The vision shared by our faculty and participating school divisions is to allow students to encounter a range of opportunities encouraging intellectual and academic excellence."

    Stonewall Jackson also has a Cosmetology program. "Students who have a passion for Hair, Makeup, Nail and Skin Care may apply for Prince William County School’s Cosmetology Program at Stonewall Jackson High School. There are many reasons why you may choose a career in Cosmetology. Helping others look their best can result in a great feeling of personal fulfillment and accomplishment. If you enjoy helping your friends and family members style their hair or apply makeup consider doing this as a profession. A licensed Cosmetologist is always in demand regardless of the economy. A career in the field of Cosmetology is an excellent opportunity to earn high wages as a full time employee or as a flexible part time job to help fund your college tuition."
