Steven Weinstein (born August 13, 1990) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.

Playing career

Weinstein played junior A hockey with the Vernon Vipers of the British Columbia Hockey League, and American collegiate hockey for the Bentley Falcons in the NCAA Men's Division I Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA). In his junior year at Bently, Weinstein was named to the 2013–14 All-AHA First Team.

At the conclusion his senior year in the 2014–15 season, Weinstein signed with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League on an amateur try-out.

On July 15, 2015, Weinstein signed a one-year contract as a free agent in the ECHL with the Cincinnati Cyclones. During the 2015–16 season, Weinstein was loaned to the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL on December 27, 2015. After four games he was returned to the Cyclones where he finished the season with 22 points in 52 games.

On June 3, 2016, Weinstein's rights were traded to the South Carolina Stingrays to complete a previous transaction between the clubs.
