Steve Pyle is a former United States Junior and Senior National Team cyclist (1976–1990) who competed at the national and international level and rode to many victories. He was known for his endurance and time trialing ability. He was a member of the U.S. cycling team for the 1980 Olympics, but the United States boycotted the event. He made the move to duathlon, then triathlon racing after his cycling career and is now a running, cycling, and triathlon coach who advises athletes ranging from elite to beginner. He has won National Championships in cycling, duathlon, and triathlon. Competing as age group athlete at many World Championships he has been finished 'on the podium' several times for duathlon and triathlon. Steve is now retired from competing in endurance sport and has become an environmental and health activist through his website: FavoritePlanet.org. Steve is also a photographer, focusing on nature, sport, and a wide range of events.
