Stephen J. Murphy is the Suffolk Register of Deeds. He won with over 158,000 votes on November 8, 2016, winning Boston, Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop. He is a former member of the Boston City Council in Boston, Massachusetts. He was first elected to the City Council in 1997 and served as President of the Council for three years from 2011 to 2014.
