Plot

Stella Maris was born paralyzed and has lived all of her live in her bed in a London mansion. Her wealthy parents don't want her to be exposed to all the bad things happening in the world. She is frequently visited by John. They fall in love, but John has a dark secret of being unhappily married to Louise. Louise wants a servant and hires orphan Unity Blake. She beats her up after an incident, which results into being sent to jail. John decides to adopt Unity and takes care of her.
