Stefanus Prize

The Stefanus Prize is a Human Rights Prize emphasising the Freedom of Religion or Belief (Article 18 in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.)

The Stefanus Prize is awarded a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the work for Freedom of Religion and Belief in particular, and for Human Rights in general.

The winner is decided by a committee established by the Norwegian NGO Stefanus Alliance International, with the following present (2016) members: Odd Einar Dørum (Norwegian politician and former Justice Minister), Line Henriette Hjemdal (parliamentarian), Knut Vollebæk (diplomat, former Ambassador and Minister of Foreign Affairs), and Ingunn E. Ulfsten, deputy leader of the board of Stefanus Alliance International.
