The St. Mary's Cathedral (Spanish: Catedral de Santa María) also called Chiclayo Cathedral It is a religious building affiliated with the Catholic Church which is located in the main park of the city of Chiclayo in the South American country of Peru, its construction is neo-classical style and dates from the period between 1869 -1871 and 1928-1956 according to design and planes commissioned from Gustave Eiffel who is named "Rose Meridionale".
The design dates from 1869, although its construction was restarted in 1928 when, due to lack of funds and after the management of local authorities to the Congress of the Republic, economic resources to the work were approved, which resumed on February 13, 1928 and culminated in 1939.
