St. Ignatius Loyola College (San Ignacio de Loyola) was founded by the Jesuits in 1885 in la Plazuela area of Medellín, Colombia. It 1957 it moved to the Stadium area. It offers kindergarten through 12th grade.

History
San Ignacio opened in 1885 with 200 students, including 30 borders. In 1957 it moved to its present location in the Stadium area. The school went coeducational in 1994.
Programs
Sports facilities include a fitness center, football field, track and field, tennis court, rama sports football, basketball, and volleyball.
An exchange program in English is maintained with Nova Scotia and New Zealand.
Recognition
The Deputy Minister of Preschool, Basic, and Secondary Education gave Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola the top award for results of a non-state school in the State examinations in 2009. It had placed in the "very high" category between 2006 and 2009. Its academic excellence and quality education was also recognized with the certificate Icontec Quality Management in 2005. Then in 2006 the College received the "Excellence in Education" award from the Mayor of the city in recognition of results on the State tests. In 2006 also, the National Federation of Merchants gave its highest honor, "El Mercurio de Oro", for the school's contribution to the growth and development of the region and the country.
