ST Matthew Academy is a co-educational Roman Catholic academy for children aged 3 to 16. It is located in Blackheath, London. The school opened in September 2007 after the closing of St Joseph's Academy, Blackheath, and Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School.

The Academy had a new build budget of £38 million and was designed to be a state-of-the-art teaching centre with a focus on new innovative methods of teaching. It is a registered charity under English law and in 2007–08 it had a gross income of £10,583,164. It is directly funded by the DCSF and receives additional support from its sponsors, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark and the De La Salle Congregation. The Academy is the first Roman Catholic all through Academys from Reception to Year 12 and is a specialist college in Business and Enterprise under the Specialist School's Trust. St Matthew Academy has three Houses: Romero, Teresa and Mandela, named after Archbishop Oscar Romero, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Nelson Mandela. The Academy since opening has been responsible for a dramatic increase in results at GCSE. In 2010 results rose by 21% making the Academy the most improved school in Lewisham and South London.
