Parish of the Divine Compassion

St Martin's Church is a Church of England church on Boundary Road in Plaistow, Newham, east London. It was built in 1894 as a mission church. With the three churches of St Mary's, St Matthias and St Philip and St James’, it now forms part of the Parish of the Divine Compassion.Until 1997 its parish hall was in timber, with a World War Two bomb shelter attached - that year the firm Cottrell and Vermeulen refurbished the hall and added a community building and housing.
