St Aidan’s College was founded as a Theological College in 1846 to train Anglican clergy to serve in the Church of England. It was located in Shrewsbury Road, Birkenhead and closed in 1970. The name has been continued at St Mellitus North West; and its archives are located at the University of Liverpool.
