Spondweni virus (SPOV) is an arbovirus, or arthropod-borne virus, which is a member of the family Flaviviridae and the genus Flavivirus. Transmitted by mosquitoes, it is responsible for Spondweni fever, which is characterized by a fever, chills, nausea, headaches, malaise and nosebleeds. SPOV is found in sub-Saharan Africa and Papua New Guinea.

It is phylogenetically very close to the Zika virus, with which it forms a clade within the genus Flavivirus.
