The spiny-headed tree frog, Anotheca spinosa, is a species of frog in the Hylidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Anotheca. It is found in Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, and Panama, and its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
This species is large (58 to 80 mm), with numerous sharp, pointed projections on the head and dorsal surface, hence the common name.
