The House Special Rules Committee is a 16 member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, and 13 members. The Committee operates under a House mandate to support the Rules Committee.

The House Special Rules Committee is responsible for accomplishing the special tasks given them by the Rules committee and to overall support them in accomplishing their mandate.
