South Willow Creek Trail is in the southern Gore Range, part of the Rocky Mountains in the U.S. state of Colorado. It is located in the Eagles Nest Wilderness, Summit County. South Willow Creek Trail is north of Interstate 70, west of Highway 9, in Silverthorne. South Willow Creek Trail connects with the Gore Range Trail near South Willow Falls between Buffalo Mountain and Red Peak.

South Willow Falls may be approached from the north or south on the Gore Range Trail. However, the shortest hike to South Willow Falls begins at the Buffalo Cabin Trailhead in the Wildernest subdivision of Silverthorne. The Buffalo Cabin Trail turns west at a junction with the South Willow Creek Trail and the Mesa Cortina Trail. South Willow Trail continues north along the base of Buffalo Mountain and descends to a bridge crossing South Willow Creek. Meeting the Gore Range Trail, South Willow Falls is west of the crossing. The Gore Range Trail continues up to Eccles Pass, then south to Wheeler Lakes at Copper Mountain. Greatest Hikes in Central Colorado: Summit and Eagle Counties, a hiking guide by Kim Fenske, provides a description of South Willow Creek Trail.
