The South African national cricket team was meant to tour England over the 1970 English summer. However the tour was cancelled after protests from the anti-apartheid movement.

It was replaced by a Rest of the World team.

The squad selected was as follows:

  • Batsmen - Eddie Barlow, Barry Richards, Arthur Short, Graeme Pollock, Ali Bacher, Lee Irvine, Tiger Lance
  • Wicket-keeper - Denis Lindsay
  • Spin bowlers - John Traicos, Grahame Chevalier
  • Fast bowlers - Peter Pollock, Pat Trimborn, Mike Procter, Gary Watson.
