In January 2008 they produced the song Black Is The Colour for the debut album of Nina Simone's daughter Lisa Simone.

In 2008 Soul Planet released the track "Dear Rosa", written and composed as a tribute to the late Rosa Parks. Nona Hendryx and re-wrote part of the lyrics in order to make this a suitable track for the reunion album of Labelle Back to Now.

In 2009 they created a project called Brown Hill for which they composed, wrote and produced an album Soul Renaissance of which a compilation was eventually released in 2010. On the album, they worked with local musicians such as John Aponno, Lars Karakusevic, Patty Gaddum, Giorgio Sitalani, Jerique, Mitch Kroon, MC Complex and MC Shockwave, and also with international artists such as Billy Preston, Leah McCrae and founder of The Last Poets' Baby Kain, Kevin Hunter and John Keys.
