The Sony Xperia Go, also known as ST27i is a mid-range smartphone. The Xperia Go is IP Code IP67-certified with water- and dust-proofing (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes), has a 3.5-inch HVGA display with capacitive multi-touch support and uses the Sony Mobile Bravia engine. The phone is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and an LED flash which is capable of shooting up to HD 720p videos and also capturing high-resolution stills. The Xperia Go is powered by a ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8500 chipset with 1 GHz Dual-core processor and uses a Mali 400 GPU. It has 8 GiB of internal storage (4 GiB system-reserved + 4 GiB usable) and can be further expandable up to 32 GiB using micro-SD cards.

It ships with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) preloaded with an official OTA (Over The Air) upgrade to Android 4.0. It received Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on 24 April 2013 after a 1-month delay by Sony.

The Sony Xperia Go have a limited RAM available for running applications so the system frequently need to swap out data to disk. The performance with the latest Jelly Bean is far from acceptable and many users complain about bad performance.
