Balfour beatty construction presents smartuse

SmartUse is a software and hardware company founded in 2012 and headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with additional offices in New York, New York, U.S. and Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. The company specializes in designing touch solutions for the AEC industry.

SmartUse large-screen multi-touch tables are tailored for construction professionals and most of them are used in job trailers.

Construction companies deploying SmartUse software and Touch Tables experiment an important reduction of paper use.

In 2012, to better prospect customers in the United States SmartUse opens an office in the US. In December 2012, Quebec’s Premier Pauline Marois inaugurated SmartUse's first offices in the US through Expansion Quebec Network in the heart of the Manhattan business district in New York City.

In December 2013, SmartUse was presented at Autodesk University in Las Vegas.

The product won an Octas award in 2012 in the category "Innovation", and the same year a Contech trophy Award. It was also one of three finalists in European Innovation Awards [2] 2013 organized by the Salon des Maires.

In October 2014, SmartUse was acquired by Newforma, a US-based construction project information management software vendor.
