Skibhusvej is the main road from downtown Odense, Denmark to Skibhusene. Surrounding the road is the Skibhuskvarter which in free translation means "The shiphouse district". Skibuskvarteret is a distinctive part of Odense with its ties to the old harbour and historically it has been a working class district with strong support for the social democratic and socialist movements of the twentieth century.
