Siyavus Haseki Sultan (Ottoman Turkish: سيزافوس‎;c. 1645 – 17 September 1702, fully Devletlu, Ismetlu, Siyavus Haseki Sultan Aliyyetu's-san Hazretleri was one of the hasekis of the Ottoman sultan Mehmed IV and mother of Sehzade Mahmud, Fatma Sultan, Esma Sultan, Huma Sah Sultan, Sehzade Mehmed, Sehzade Murad and Ummu Gulsum Sultan of Ottoman Empire.

Biography

She was born in 1645. She was considered to be of Russian origin. She was captured during one of the raids by Tatars and sold into slavery. Her real name was Anastasia. At the age of thirteen she entered to Mehmed's harem and was renamed Siyavus . It was Ayse Sultan, the eldest child of Turhan Hatice Sultan who gave Siyavus as a gift to her brother Mehmed. In 1660 Siyavus gave birth to Sehzade Mahmud. She gave birth to two other sons who died in infancy and her first son, Mehmed was assassinated in 1679. Because she was very much loved by Sultan Mehmed IV after the death of her sons, Siyavus hasn't been sent to the Eski Saray as was the custom and remained at Topkapi Palace until the death of the sultan Mehmed in 1693. Since then she has lived with her daughters in Amasya. Siyavus died in 1702 and was buried in her son-in-law's tomb, Ibrahim Ali Pasha Turbe at Kilari Suleyman Aga Mosque in Amasya.
