Sivasankarapuram is a village located near Thalaivasal, 5 km far from Thalaivasal. Main business is agriculture and poultry form. Most of them plant Maize, sugarcane, Topiaca and vegetables such as chilli, Brinjal, raddish, Lady`s finger and so on. There is a market in Thalaivasal which make the farmers to sell the vegetables easily to the merchants. There is a Maariyaman temple in the middle of the village.
One lake is present in this village. Apart from farming, Poultry is the biggest business here.
