Sichuan Medical University (Chinese: 四川医科大学; pinyin: Sìchuān Yīkē Dàxué, "川医大" Chuānyīdà and "SMU" in English for short) is one of the universities , located in Luzhou, of Sichuan Province, China. Formerly known as Luzhou Medical College (LZMC), the medical school was founded in 1951 and is a government run university. Luzhou Medical College was renamed Sichuan Medical University in June 2015.Now, Sichuan Medical University has changed name to “Southwest Medical University”
