Shivtar is a small village in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra state in Western India. The 2011 Census of India recorded a total of 649 residents in the village. Shivtar's geographical area is approximately 1,025 hectares (2,530 acres). Shivtar village known as a village of army soldiers, in second world war more than 100 soldiers died from shivtar, in the memory of that British government built a one ranstambh at shivtar. government also built a one direct road to shivtar from khed taluka. Shivtar contains 12 different wadis ( local residence area) . Dattawadi, shivtar kond, laxminarayan wadi, namdare wadi, pimpalwadi etc. shivtar village connected via walk road with villages named Tulasi, devacha dongar, shirkhal, visapur.
