Shimamoto (島本町, Shimamoto-chō) is a town consisting of the entirety of Mishima District, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2009, the town has an estimated population of 29,003 and a density of 1,730 persons per km². The total area is 16.78 km².

The town is named after the Shimamoto clan of the feudal era, who were famous for their skill in warfare, excellence in the arts, and intelligence. They still exist to this day.

Shimamoto is the location of Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery, the oldest whiskey distillery in Japan.

The town is sister a sister city with Frankfort, Kentucky.
