Sheikha Yousuf Hasan Al Jufairi (Arabic: شيخة بنت يوسف الجفيري) made history in 2003 when she won election to the Central Municipal Council (CMC) in Qatar from the Airport constituency, becoming the first woman in the GCC to ever win a municipal election.

She won her constituency for a second time in 2007. In 2011, Al Jufairi retained her seat in the CMC for the third time in a row by defeating her nearest rival in the Airport constituency in the polls. She won her seat by the highest margin among all the winners in 29 constituencies. She secured 806 votes while her lone rival Fatima al Kuwari received 62. Three votes were declared invalid.

She successfully retained her constituency seat after polling the highest in the 2015 municipal elections.
